Archaeological excavation (preservation by record) is required when archaeological sites and monuments are located within a proposed development area and will be directly impacted by the activities associated with that development. 

Excavation involves the scientific removal of archaeological features by a team of archaeologists. Tobar Archaeological Services carry out archaeological excavations under licence from the National Monuments Service (NMS). All our excavations are carried out to the highest standards whilst adhering to time and budgetary constraints.
